Allocate available to promise

Trigger: A dealership or retailer submits a sales order or allocation request requiring supply confirmation.

1. Receive the dealership vehicle or parts order
2. Assess on-hand inventory across regional distribution centers
3. Review the master production schedule for incoming supply
4. Calculate available-to-promise quantities against existing commitments
5. Assign specific vehicle allocations or part batches to the order
6. Issue confirmed delivery dates to the requester
7. Update the central inventory reservation system

Outcome: Available inventory and scheduled production are formally committed to the order with a reliable delivery date.
