How the work flows

Trigger: A policyholder submits a request and required past-due payments to reactivate a recently canceled or lapsed insurance policy.

  1. Receive reinstatement request and past-due payment
  2. Verify policyholder eligibility and allowable timeframe for reinstatement
  3. Assess underwriting risk and state regulatory requirements
  4. Process payment and recalculate the future billing schedule
  5. Update the policy administration system to active status
  6. Generate and distribute the reinstatement declaration to the policyholder

Outcome: The insurance policy is restored to active status in the administration system and confirmation is sent to the policyholder.
